Architectural Rendering - Why Is Everyone Always Talking About How Realistic It Looks?

Architectural rendering can be used for a lot of things but the most effective use seems to be when a building and land need to be seen the way we see it when we look at it, with dimension.

Scale models are great for showing all the detail of a landscape along with the building(s) that are on it. It can show lighting as well as any moving things. Scale models are great for displaying boats, buildings, floor plans, prototypes all in a realistic view that is easily understood by anyone who sees it. This far surpasses any drawing on a piece of paper where you need to study it to realize exactly what is being displayed.

Commercially, scale models are used in marketing of real estate development projects. A model can show an entire community with streets, all buildings right down to lampposts, windows and building lighting. A prospective buyer can see exactly where their home or business property will be and exactly how it relates to those buildings and streets around it. They can even get an idea of sunrise and sunset and what might block distant views.

There are also scale models of the interior. There is nothing left to the imagination when you can take the roof off of a building and see inside for every nook and cranny and picture on a wall. With these views a prospective buyer can see where stairways are, windows and what the windows will look out at. This is how you can allow someone to actually see inside a home or commercial building before it is built and they will have an accurate picture of how it will be after it is built.

Something new to the scale model field is the interactive model. Touch screens can walk you through a neighborhood or crime scene. They are becoming great tools in court and for litigation. In a museum it can be used to show the way around the museum and have a light up spot on the map to describe each station. Text and voice can be added to complete this interactive program.
